While your nose might be getting stuffy by the seasonal pollen outside, you can be breath easier in your car thanks to its cabin air filter. Your car's filtration system works with its heating and air conditioning components to create a clean, comfortable, and temperature controlled driving environment. The cabin air filter in your vehicle is responsible for removing pollen, dust, and debris from the air that is being circulated throughout the vehicle.

The cabin air filter is a paper filter that is mounted to a frame and placed in front of the Air Conditioning system—usually behind glove box. When you adjust the temperature in your vehicle, the A/C's fans pull outside air into the car and pushes it through the A/C components. As the air's temperature is adjusted, it is flows through the cabin air filter and into the car.

Over time, the cabin air filter will become clogged, causing a decrease in airflow. The air filter is checked during every oil change and should be replaced as recommended by your ToyoTechs Technician.
